LM Design logo

The LM Design logo was created to represent the  work of freelance designer, Lauren McFarland. The blocky, bold initials “L” and “M” create a canvas to display a playful, free-spirited bird in  the negative space.

Honey Run Apiaries logo*

Honey Run Apiaries, operating since 2000, produces unfiltered, non-pasteurized, natural, pure, raw honey of the highest quality. They also offer a variety of handcrafted wax and pollen products.

The logo I created to represent Honey Run Apiaries has a simple, modern vibe with a symbol that mimics a bee hive and also the movement of a buzzing bee.

Colorado Teen Driving Alliance logo

CDOT and the Teen Motor Vehicle Leadership Alliance are committed to keeping Colorado teens safe and working towards reducing accidents and fatalities in Colorado. The Driver’s Seat campaign encourages teen driving safety by providing valuable resources for parents and teens alike. CDOT wanted a Colorado Teen Driving Alliance logo created to represent their initiative as they spread the word and distributed educational materials.

The logo I created for CTDA forms the shape of a key. The key ridges also represent the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Finally, my logo uses the “CO” in the Colorado state flag to represent our state.

Resolute Property Tax Solutions logo

Resolute Property Tax Solutions is an industry leader in Property Tax Consulting in Dallas, TX. They needed a logo that was serious but approachable.

I created a straightforward logo that interchanges an abstract house for the letter “U”. The word “Resolute” is set in a no-nonsense font, while the more subtle “Property Tax Solutions” is a little more relaxed and approachable.

Resolute_Brochure_with_background

Resolute Property Tax Solutions brochure

Resolute Property Tax Solutions needed a brochure that would inform their prospective clients of their services. This brochure was sent out to thousands of homeowners in the Dallas area as a marketing tool.

Westerra Credit Union in-store brochures

Westerra Credit Union offers credit unions nationwide the benefits of scale enjoyed by larger credit unions through consultative and management services, such as repossession activities, vehicle remarketing, real estate disposal, collection activities and assistance with mergers. They needed informational brochures created that customers could take with them, to inform them of the services and products offered in a simple, easy to read layout.

This set of brochures was created in an organized system that distinguished each brochure by color, topic, and unique imagery. Financial brochures tend to be boring and lifeless, so I added lots of imagery and color to compel the customer to read on. Additionally, each brochure featured a story of real people and how they used their Westerra loan, savings investments, etc. The cover of each brochure contains an image that went along with those stories.

Colorado State University Global Campus brochure

As the newest campus in the Colorado State University System, CSU-Global Campus is uniquely focused on delivering 100% online degree programs to working professionals and nontraditional students. CSU needed a brochure that particularly focused on the military and their families.

I created this brochure to include lots of compelling military imagery that would reach out directly to CSU’s target market.

Haiti Poster

The Haiti Poster Project: "Breathe Life Back into Haiti"

The Haiti Poster Project was launched three days after the January 12th, 2010 earthquake in Haiti. The project is a collaborative effort by the design community to help effect change through our work. Signed and numbered, limited edition posters have been donated by designers and artists from around the world. All money raised will be donated to Doctors Without Borders.
My poster prompts its viewers to breathe life back into Haiti… By contributing whatever talents or resources they have to help pull Haiti out of the rubble and to restore its viability and beauty once again. It was painted in acrylics and edited digitally.

TV5Monde monthly movie poster

TV5Monde monthly movie poster

Launched in 1984, TV5MONDE is the leading French language channel broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without commercial interruptions. TV5MONDE wanted to create a poster each month that highlighted that month’s feature show. These posters were sent out all over the world in French classrooms, embassies, and foreign offices.  I designed a poster for them each month that aligned with the signature TV5MONDE style.

Beaujolais Nouveau 2009 event poster

At one past midnight on the third Thursday of each November, from little villages and towns like Romanèche-Thorins, over a million cases of Beaujolais Nouveau begin their journey through a sleeping France to Paris for immediate shipment to all parts of the world. Banners proclaim the good news: Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé! “The New Beaujolais has arrived!” One of the most frivolous and animated rituals in the wine world has begun. The French-American Chamber of Commerce puts on an annual celebration for the new wine, so Colorado can take part in this amazing tradition!

I chose to create a fun, vintage feel for this event material that blended a vintage French theme with a touch of Colorado wild west, because after all, this French tradition was being celebrated on US soil.

Beaujolais Nouveau Poster and Postcard

Beaujolais Nouveau 2010 event poster and postcard

The 2010 Beaujolais Nouveau event material was created to have the feel of an old 1920′s French poster. Through texture, imagery and the curvature of line, this poster and postcard set the tone for a classy, nostalgic wine and food tasting extravaganza.

French Alliance Summer Soirée postcard and tickets

The Alliance Française is a worldwide non-profit, cultural and educational center founded in Paris in 1883. A network of over 1,100 chapters in 138 countries, the Alliance Française has 146 locations in the United States alone, serving over 400,000 students. The Denver branch, called the Alliance Française de Denver was founded in 1897 and is one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the Denver Metro area. It is also the only French language, culture, and resource center in Colorado. The Alliance Française has an annual event at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and wanted to create a postcard and tickets for their event.

Because this event was at the botanic gardens, I chose a floral design that went into the negative space of the post card and the tickets. The feel of it was elegant, fresh and French.

Earthy Dog business card and postcard

Earthy Dog is a free-spirited dog walking company in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Earthy Dog not only offers physical and mental stimulation to pets of all kinds, but also has a line of earth-friendly, organic dog treats to offer.
I created this postcard and business card with an earthy, light-hearted vibe to direct prospective customers to the Earthy Dog website.

Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger tea box*

“There’s no mistaking a Zinger! The classic lemonade stand-style refreshment of this enduring favorite starts with real lemons and lively Guatemalan lemongrass. We blend our lemons with hibiscus, whose tangy taste and ruby-red color are the signature of a Zinger, to create a bright tea that’s equally satisfying under the sun and the moon.”
— Charlie Baden, Celestial Seasonings Blendmaster Since 1975.

My version of the Lemon Zinger Tea box is all about summertime and the refreshing lemon taste that this tea has to offer. In this vintage scene, lemons are providing all of the summer goodness that those sunbathers needed… a lemon sun, lemon sail boats, lemon umbrellas, you get the idea.

Spot Illustration for magazine article

Spot Illustration for magazine article*

This Illustration was painted to go alongside an article that motivates readers to take a stand and live a “greener” lifestyle. This sunflower with a microphone stem was created with acrylic paint in the dry-brush style.

CS Living magazine covers*

Comfort & Style Living Magazine is all about giving its readers tips and ideas for fusing comfort with style to transform their homes, and even their lives. CS Living has recurring articles on decor, lifestyle, relationships, and travel that incorporate the idea of comfort and style in each of these categories.
